I took on the role of photographer and art director for the photoshoot of Omar Alshogre featured in the Aftonbladet Söndag article "Omar’s Journey to Sweden." The goal was to visually capture Omar’s story and his current experiences, complementing the narrative crafted by
Alina Weckström.
I provided Aftonbladet Söndag with the final photographs, which they used for post-production and layout in the magazine. The collaboration with Alina was both enjoyable and rewarding, and it was amazing to

As a teenager, Omar Alshogre was a political prisoner in Syria's most horrific prisons. When he came to Sweden, in the middle of the refugee crisis in 2015,
a Swedish family helped him create a new life. Today, he’s told numerous people about his story, including the US Congress.
